NA4 CHP -PROJECT

A new combined heat and power plant for Turku region

NA4 CHP -project brings new environmentally friendly technology for Naantali. One of the main objectives of the new plant is to increase the use of renewable energy. The bulk of the biofuel (such as wood chips and bark) will be acquired locally and possibly by sea.

This power plant investment will ensure a supply of district heat in Turku and surroundings for decades to come. Preliminary work was started in summer 2014, and construction work proper will commence in spring 2015. The new plant will be operational in autumn 2017.
